They say that patience is a virtue, but when I know that
something new is coming, my patience goes out the window! That’s just the way I
am – like a kid waiting for his birthday. Well, the waiting is over…the new
2013 Buick Encore is here!! We just took delivery of the first one at our
store. So, let me tell you a little about it…..
Buick knew that there was the need for a crossover SUV
smaller than the impressive Enclave. Chevrolet has the Equinox, and GMC the
Terrain as a compliment to the Traverse and 
The Encore delivers on all of Buick’s traditional strengths
– Comfort, Luxury, and superior ride. The front cabin has plenty of room with
wide seats that are comfortable even on longer rides, and they sit high enough
so that there’s plenty of visibility above and around traffic. All of the
materials speak to luxury with “soft-touch” accents; wood tone trim, and
metallic accents. 
What’s really impressive is the quality of the ride, which
has come to be expected in a Buick. Even with its smaller size, the Buick
Encore absorbs road imperfections with ease, and remains firmly seated on the
road, all the while remaining extraordinarily quiet due to superior sound
dampening.
While remaining true to Buicks reputation for quality, the
Encore is also extremely affordable. The base model starts at $24,200, and
works up from there depending on model and selected options. What’s nice are
some of the standard features that might be add-ons with some of the
competition. How about the IntelliLink system which I’ve mentioned in previous
posts? Then there’s GM’s OnStar system for safety; Bluetooth connectivity;
USB/iPod interface; rearview camera, and a six speaker audio system.
