Service Star

Edenton Motors, along with General Motors, would like to congratulate Clyde Collins for achieving the designation of World Class Technician, one of the highest certification levels in the automotive industry. Fewer than 1% of all General Motors technicians achieve this designation.

In order to reach this level Clyde maintained GM’s stringent yearly training requirements, and went beyond those minimum requirements to achieve certification as a Master Technician. Not content there, and wanting to continually improve his skills, he completed all of the requirements for this latest designation. Cumulatively Clyde has completed over 550 technical training classes with GM alone.

Joining Clyde for the presentation of his new Jacket is Stewart Deacon, Edenton Motors GM, John Brady GM’s After Sales Zone Manager, and Lee Brabble Edenton Motors Service Manager. Please join us in congratulating Clyde on this outstanding achievement!  

Christmas Giving 2015

 

It's that special time of year again! A time to give, and share with family, friends and neighbors. As we do every year, we are again participating in the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Our customers, employees and our neighbors are always supportive of this effort and we are then able to put a smile on some youngsters faces for Christmas Morning. As I've told you in the past, this is one of my favorite times of the year for that very reason.

           

            I find it especially gratifying to be able to spread some holiday cheer and to brighten some child's Christmas Morning. So I would ask you once again to please join us in this effort. Stop by and pick some child from our tree and help make their wishes come true for Christmas Morning. We'll appreciate it as will those young children who will be the recipients of your generosity.



 

 

 

Where do you go when home isn’t home anymore? There are hundreds of catastrophically disabled service members who need specially designed homes to live normal lives. The waiting list is long - and for every home we build, another three veterans join the list.

When the call came, these brave service members went. They made extraordinary sacrifices  in our place. Please help give them a home they can come home to. Your donation will make a real difference in a service hero’s life.

Edenton Motors Angel Tre

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone; Black Friday is over and now we're into Cyber week. Here at Edenton Motors we've already put up our Angel Tree to benefit the Salvation Army's effort to help see that some disadvantaged children in our communities have some gifts under their tree's for Christmas. As you can see from the pictures some of our friends and neighbors have already started to participate by bringing in their donations.

 

This is an effort that we at Edenton Motors wholeheartedly support. However, we couldn't be successful with out your help. We certainly appreciate everyone's past support and look forward to seeing many of our friends and neighbors as they stop by to lend their continued help for this worthwhile campaign. So, stop by and pick one of our Angels from the tree and brighten some child's Christmas.

Tax Time is Coming!

It's nearly the end of the year and amid all of the activity of your business you're probably starting to look at your tax liability for 2014. Of course, you'd like that liability to be as small as possible, and there is a great way that Edenton Motors can assist with that!

 

The IRS has allowable deductions of up to $25,000 dollars for the acquisition of vehicles purchased for use in your business. Autumn's a Great Season to Help your kids on the Field

Well the kids are back in school and the air is a little crisper lately. Late summer is fading and Fall is approaching fast! It won't be long and the leaves will have donned their colorful coats. This is a great time of year, full of excitement, and the promise of new experiences to come.

It's also Kick Off time - Football season is here!! Have you made your Fantasy Football picks yet, and how's your team doing? Whether you watch the game from the stands or on your big screen at home, game day is always a highlight of the week. And how about those budding stars from our local schools? I'll tell you what, some of these games are every bit as, if not more, exciting than the collegiate and pro games!

Anyone who follows us knows that Edenton Motors has a huge commitment to our communities and youth regardless of the season. With that in mind, we are proud to participate in the Buick / GMC Youth Football program. This sponsorship program provides a local league with some great equipment including: Kick Off Tees; Field Goal Tees; Hand Warmers; Footballs; and other useful equipment.

It's also a great time to look at the lineup of GMC / Buick Trucks and Cars. Now here are a couple of winning teams!! Whatever your automotive needs may be, we have championship solutions. So, settle in for an exciting season; root for your favorite teams; and support your local school leagues. We believe it's an important facet in the development of our youth, and great fun besides!! One of Our Favorite Pastimes is Baseball

Oh, those lazy, hazy days of summer!! Which also means - Baseball!! Who doesn't like going to the ballpark, having a hot dog, and watching a great game. Or better yet, participating in a game. Edenton Motors proudly sponsors events for local youth leagues. One such event, in conjunction with Chevrolet, is a youth Instructional Baseball Clinic with the Norfolk Tides baseball team! This is an opportunity for local youth to receive instruction and coaching from professional players in a professional stadium - what a great experience for an aspiring ball player.  

 

Edenton is proud to be the home of the Edenton Steamers of the Coastal Plain League, and we are thrilled to be a sponsor of this top rated team. It's wonderful to be able to spend a summer evening watching our team compete against some very competitive opponents right in our own backyard. Our community is very fortunate to have such a great venue.     

We also support our local parks and recreation department with equipment and resources for our youth to participate in America's favorite pastime at home. These are both efforts that are undertaken because we believe in being involved in our communities, and that participation in a variety of  activities can be helpful to the development of important values such as team work and sportsmanship. So, enjoy the summer, and go see a ball game!!
