They’re here! The all new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado is one
fine piece of work. GM’s engineers have outdone themselves again. One look and
you can see the subtle but effective exterior design changes. From the powerful
hood to the flared wheel wells to the rear step bumper and the EZ Lift and
Lower Tailgate, the changes have been crafted to make the Silverado stand out
from the crowd and be functional as well. Just look at the pictures to see some
of the finer details.
As far as power is concerned, there are a range of options
for every need: the powerful 6.2L - V8; the 5.3L – V8; and the high torque 4.3L
– V6. These powerful engines all utilize the new generation, all aluminum,
EcoTec3 design which optimizes efficiency and power based on how you drive. So
whether you’re towing uphill, or cruising on the highway, there’s a choice to
meet all of your needs.
Speaking of which, the console includes 2 DC power ports; an
AC outlet to power devices and charge others, as well a 3 USB ports! And then
there’s the new MyLink infotainment system. It has an impressive 8.5 inch touch
screen to control the audio functions, Bluetooth streaming, Navigation, XM
Radio and more. This is a very intuitive system to use, and certainly a
valuable option for today’s connected customer.
